Learning word roots and prefixes is a great way to give yourself an edge in the GRE exam. If you see an unfamiliar word that uses one of these key "word parts" then you have a very good chance of getting the right answer!
As your interest and knowledge of words grows, you can make it easier to boost your vocabulary by learning various word roots, prefixes and suffixes. Once you know their meanings, it will be easier to learn related words. Here are some common word roots and prefixes.
