Using ALL Parts of Your Brain for Your GRE Vocabulary

You learn and remember best when you engage all parts of your brain and bring the word you are trying to learn to life FOR YOU. Only you know what best stimulates your imagination and memory, so be aware of this and when you find a trick or method that works, use it over and over.

Some people remember words really well when they use RHYMING, for instance.

What if you remembered the word DAUNTED (discouraged and frightened) by saying to yourself, "I'd be really DAUNTED if my house was HAUNTED!"

As you say the rhyme to yourself, bring the image to life in your mind as well so that you are stimulating your brain with sight and sound - simultaneously!

Have fun with these ideas - your brain will reward you for it!
